Kingston Young Enterprise Trade Fair
ㅣ Date: 15/01/2015 Thursday 1 to 4 pmㅣPlace: Kingston Hill campus ground floorㅣ
Our first trade fair was held in the atrium of Business school and we set up the table as we rehearsed yesterday. Joanna and I already knew how to put on the view, we could finish the display quickly. We added a loudspeaker with a music that Ali selected to our display to attract many people. It was a brilliant idea!
And then, we started to greet guests with smile and asked the problem when they travel in London to remind them inconvenience of preparing Oyster card before using transportation or lose it. When we asked about this issue, most people took an interest in our idea of Touch gloves. Lots of audience liked our product and gave helpful feedbacks to us. Some of them told that it would be better if the glove and pocket stick together all sides. One of my friend wanted to put his iphone and recommended me to consider this idea.
As a marketing activity, our group created some posters that people could partake in our small event. Many viewers responded positively and were willing to be a part of our project that was about taking photos with our poster as followings ;
In addition to this, we made a waitlist for those who were interested in our gloves and offered them a special price. As you can see from the picture below, lots of customers wrote down their email address for booking.
Our purpose was to maximise our brand’s exposure to the potential customers, since we haven’t reached the stage where we can deliver actual products for them. However, the entire endevor was quite successful, as it has been selected as the best display in the whole fair by the judges. We were pretty satisfied with the outcome as well, and it seems to be a great start of our little venture. Stay tuned!
