Why storytelling is a vital point for successful business?
Everything we own and posses have a story. We do not purchase an item not only due to its visual image and function but the story behind the good. It may be hard to believe but it is true, every item has its own beginning and end. Each brand has their own history and story, strong brands such as Apple has a unique background that catches our attention and makes us crave for their goods. Whereas, on the other hand small brands are struggling to recognise the importance of story behind the goods, and as a consequence the outcome is not as satisfying as expected. Apple has used a great promotion technique to show their customer how the IPhone is made and how its functions are superior then other phones. This is the use of storytelling in businesses, although the new generations of IPhones do not have big changes they create a big appeal in their advertisement making us believe it is better than it actually is. Storytelling is not a tool only used in language literature classes, but is used in every day life without our consciousness. It has a great impact in our surrounding and we should be more aware of the excellence it brings to us, just because it is learned in language classes it does not necessarily mean it is only used in that area. Think of the products you have bought recently and ask yourself; did I buy this because it’s amazing? Or is it an illusion we have created by the storytelling advertisement from the businesses.
